Diani Beach is an exotic paradise to the south of Mombasa that stretches 25 kilometres along the Indian Ocean. Shimba Hills National Reserve is 15 kilometres directly inland from Diani Beach and it is the only place in Kenya where sable antelope live.

Funzi Island is a paradise for sports enthusiasts. You can sail or windsurf in Funzi Creek and marvel at the dolphins along the coast. This is also the perfect destination for bird spotters. A boat or canoe trip down the Ramisi River is guaranteed to conclude with a strikingly breathtaking sunset. And if that's not enough, the Pemba Channel offers one of the best fishing spots in all of Africa.
Nearby Funzi Island lies the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park, which is an absolute must for nature lovers. The park stretches across an area of four islands, which are encircled by coral reefs. You can go diving or snorkelling here and get acquainted with the rich underwater world of dolphins, hawksbill, sea turtles, parrotfish, triggerfish, wrasse, snapper, grouper and scorpionfish. Humpback whales can also be seen in the winter, as well as the occasional whale shark.
