For some countries you need to obtain a visa. You need to obtain this at least 2 weeks before departure from the embassy of the country in question. If you require, All Over Tours will be happy to assist you with this. People with foreign nationalities may even be required to obtain a visa for the countries in which stopovers are made (particularly in the Middle East). Travellers who do not have Dutch nationality should check whether this applies to them at the Consulate of the country in which the stop-over is planned. If you need a visa, it is advisable to apply for this well in advance.
We advise you to arrive at Schiphol at least three hours before your departure since there may be a fair distance between the check-in desk and your departure gate. We always advise people collecting holidaymakers to check the exact arrival times of the flight in question, or to consult NOS Teletext (p. 757).
It is very important to take out comprehensive travel insurance. The costs of seeing a doctor or going to a hospital can be very high. All Over Tours expects all of its holidaymakers to take out substantial travel insurance. Also check your own health insurance thoroughly and make sure that you are adequately and correctly insured. Not all standard forms of health insurance include foreign cover! We can of course arrange travel insurance for you with Europeesche Verzekeringen. Please ask about this option.
If you have taken out insurance with another company, you need to inform of this company when you book your holiday.
You may have the misfortune to suffer loss or theft on holiday. Never leave valuable items unattended. Make use of the hotel safe whenever possible. If you suffer loss or theft you will need to obtain a police report from the city in which the incident took place.
The travel conditions require you to provide personal details that may be of importance to the journey, the traveller or to the group of travellers as a whole.
People that travel run health risks. Different food and hygienic circumstances may disturb your constitution. You may come into contact with bacteria and viruses that cause infectious diseases, to which we in the Netherlands have not built up immunity. You can avoid contracting the most common infectious disease by having vaccinations. Certain vaccinations against diseases such as typhus, DTP and hepatitis are sometimes recommended and malaria prophylaxis may also be very important. Always ask your own doctor or the Health Authority in your local area (GG&GD) to advise you on this. You may also call KLM Travel Clinics on the following telephone number to find out all of the necessary information: 0900 1091096 (€0.50 a minute from the Netherlands, 24 hours a day).
